STEM Cube Grading Test (魔方段位认证考试)

The purpose of the STEM Cube Grading Test is to provide a structured assessment system that measures participants' STEM Cube solving skills, speed, accuracy, and understanding of solving methods. The grading system recognizes achievement levels and encourages continuous improvement. The following is the Grading Level: -

RULES & REGULATIONS

a)     Competitors can use their own cubes (any brands are accepted) or AI Cube for competing & grading

b)    Competitors may sit or stand during the STEM Cube Grading Test round(s).

c)     All competitors will give FIVE (5) attempts to solve the cubes, and will remove the best and worst record. We will the Average of the 3 Records (Ao5 Format) as the FINAL RESULT.

d)     The Cut off time is 10 minutes (600 seconds) for 3x3 and 3 minutes (180 seconds) for 2x2 & Pyraminx

e)     Lubricating and/or sanding cubes is acceptable to make the cubes twist smoothly.

f)      Competitors must continue solve the Cube for FIVE (5) attempts and record it in a single video to submit.

g)     Phone cameras or video cameras are allowed for use on the competition tables(s) for video recording.

h)    The use of notes or any form of reference material is not permitted.

i)      Please submit the cube in the solved stage for the judge to scrambles or mixes up the cube with online scramble pattern.

j)      The judge will place scrambled cube in front of competitor and cover it with a box.

k)     Using stopwatch, the judge will remove cover and competitor may view/handle cube (not solve) for max 15 seconds. Competitors may start the timer to solve the cube within 15 second.

l)      Competitor stops the timer when finished solving and the judge reviews the cube to checks for any penalties (see Solved State penalties).

m)   The judge fills the time on score card, and the competitor verifies that the score is correct & signs off.

n)    Organizers reserve the right to make any amendments and/or changes to the Grading Test.
